Blood viscosity and high blood lipids are not the same thing. Although there is a close connection between them, they are not manifestations of the same disease. Although blood lipid viscosity is not an independent disease, many diseases have direct and indirect relationships with it. When blood viscosity is abnormal, it is often accompanied by increased blood lipids. In terms of harm, if blood viscosity is too high, the harm will be greater and the impact on the patient's health will be greater. Are blood viscosity and high blood lipids the same thing? Blood viscosity and hyperlipidemia are completely different concepts. Blood viscosity is one of the physical and chemical characteristics of blood and is related to various components in the blood. The viscosity of whole blood mainly depends on the hematocrit in the blood, that is, it is mainly related to the number of red blood cells. The viscosity of plasma is mainly related to the amount of plasma protein, especially fibrinogen. High blood lipids and high blood viscosity are not the same thing. High blood lipids will inevitably cause high blood viscosity. High blood viscosity does not necessarily mean high blood lipids, it may also be due to too many red blood cells, excessive blood concentration, etc. Hyperlipidemia should be more accurately called dyslipidemia, including hypercholesterolemia, high low-density lipoprotein cholesterol, low high-density cholesterol and hypertriglyceridemia. Among them, hypercholesterolemia and high low-density lipoprotein cholesterol pose the greatest threat to cardiovascular disease. The main manifestation is not the impact on blood viscosity. Cholesterol will be deposited on the blood vessel wall like scale to form atherosclerotic plaques, gradually blocking the lumen and causing myocardial ischemia and cerebral ischemia; if the plaque ruptures, it will form an acute thrombus, causing stroke and myocardial infarction. Guidance: 1. Both thick blood and high blood lipids are risk factors for cardiovascular and cerebrovascular diseases and need to be controlled. 2. For the above two situations, diet control, exercise, etc. are mainly needed, and aspirin and other drugs are used for treatment when necessary. In short, thick blood and high blood lipids are not the same thing, and it is unscientific to use thick blood to measure high blood lipids. Blood thickness is not an indicator for predicting whether a stroke will occur in the future, and there is no scientific basis for using injections to clear blood vessels based on thick blood. Prevention of atherosclerosis mainly refers to regulating blood lipids, among which low-density lipoprotein cholesterol is the culprit of atherosclerosis and is the first target of intervention. At the same time, you should also control your blood pressure and blood sugar, quit smoking, exercise appropriately, and maintain a balanced diet. |
