What is the reason for the white spots on the toenails?

If there are white spots on the toenails, you need to pay attention to the causes. Usually, many people are susceptible to onychomycosis, and onychomycosis will also show this symptom, or some may be symptoms of some gastrointestinal digestive problems. Therefore, you need to pay attention to understand the related causes so that you can solve the problem accordingly.

1. The possibility of onychomycosis is very high. I suggest you use iodine tincture, but make sure to use the one with a higher concentration, and only apply it to the affected areas, and avoid applying other areas as much as possible. Remember, it is not iodine. It is also recommended to try mashing purple garlic into a paste, adding a little alum and applying it on the onychomycosis. Don't apply too thickly. Then seal the nails with plastic wrap. The plastic sheeting has good light-transmitting and sealing effects and only takes seven or eight days for you to feel the food growing. Be careful not to get it on your skin.

2. White spots or mica-like spots on the nails indicate a lack of trace elements such as calcium and silicon, and the presence of parasites. Such people are prone to nervousness, irritability, and habitual constipation.

3. White spots or floc-like white spots appear on the nails, which may be due to zinc deficiency, gastrointestinal disease or anemia. A rough, dull face with grooves, vertical stripes, white spots, and an abnormal proportion of health circles is often a sign of poor physical condition.

4. White spots on the nails are very common and usually recur. Some people say that this is a sign of poor gastrointestinal function, but this has no medical basis. Because of long-term exposure to the outside, nails are easily damaged. For example, fingers get stuck in door cracks, nails are squeezed or collided, etc., which causes damage to the nail matrix cells at the root of the nails during production, resulting in white spots. If the nail bed is damaged, splinter-like bleeding will occur under the nails. Don't worry though, as the nail grows upwards it will eventually be trimmed off.

5. Protein nails, also known as white spot nails, are caused by disease or nail injury, which allows air to enter the inner layer of the nail. If the nails are not loose and there are no other abnormalities, you can apply nail polish or get crystal nails.
