The efficacy and function of Moringa seeds

The efficacy and function of Moringa seeds

Moringa seeds are a substance derived from the Moringa tree. This substance not only has rich nutritional value, but also has good medicinal value. It can treat various types of diseases such as diabetes, hypertension, hyperlipidemia, osteoporosis, stroke, and ulcers. It can also prevent cancer, enhance immune defense capabilities, antioxidant activity, and prevent infection. Here I will introduce to you the effects of moringa seeds.

1. Diabetes

In traditional Indian medicine, moringa seed oil is used to treat diabetes. Moringa leaves are used to treat high blood pressure and, in the West African region of Senegal, to treat diabetes.

2. Hypertension

Moringa leaves are high in potassium, which helps to counteract the high-sodium diet that Chinese people are accustomed to: a high-sodium diet can cause high blood pressure, while a high-potassium diet can prevent high blood pressure.

3. Hyperlipidemia

Moringa leaves can reduce cholesterol in human serum by 14.35%, cholesterol in liver by 6.40%, and cholesterol in kidney by 11.09%, and increase serum protein by 15.22%.

4. Anti-cancer

Can be used in phytotherapy for cancer and tumors. Indian scientists have discovered that Moringa root can delay the development and destroy the functions of cancer and tumor cells. The bioalkali in Moringa root can effectively inhibit and delay the growth of cancer cells. Cancer and tumor cells will be completely eliminated at the genetic level and will not recur. Moringa root not only successfully inhibits cancer and tumor cells, but also reduces the size of tumors, thereby greatly reducing the risk of tumor metastasis or recurrence.

5. Enhance immune defense

A body with low immunity is more susceptible to infection or cancer. Since Moringa has comprehensive and rich nutrients, long-term use can enhance immunity and improve one's own defense capabilities.

6. Antioxidant Activity

Moringa seeds contain about 13% saturated fatty acids and 82% unsaturated fatty acids. Scholars have analyzed that the extract contains triglycerides, and the high amount of α-, γ- and δ-tocopherols in the oil makes Moringa seed oil highly antioxidant.

7. Treating Stroke

Moringa is rich in vitamins, high in protein and high in fiber. It also contains six mineral elements (calcium, magnesium, phosphorus, potassium, sodium, and sulfur), five trace elements (zinc, copper, iron, manganese, and selenium), and eleven amino acids. It has a good effect on the prevention and treatment of stroke.

8. Osteoporosis

The Moringa tree contains particularly high plant calcium. Every 100g of dried Moringa leaf powder contains 1320mg of calcium. Just 75g can provide 1000mg of calcium required for men's daily needs, and 60g can provide 800mg of calcium required for women's daily needs. For the elderly, although their appetite is not large, eating a few spoonfuls of Moringa leaf powder a day is definitely acceptable. As long as they insist on drinking it every day, they can avoid osteoporosis. What's more, Moringa products have many health care functions for maintaining good health.

9. Treat ulcers

The extract of Moringa leaves is very effective in curing ulcers and can significantly improve the cure rate of gastric ulcers. Oral intake of Moringa leaf extract can also increase intestinal pigment cells and 5-hydroxytryptamine levels, protect the intestines, and inhibit intestinal ulcers. Its flower juice can also treat mucositis and ulcers. Moringa root and sweet orange peel extracts were more effective in treating ulcerative colitis than the control drug hydrochloride.

10. Anti-inflammatory and infection prevention

Adequate intake of calcium and vitamin A can improve immunity to disease, especially infectious diseases like colds. In Senegal, it was found that when Moringa leaf powder was added to milk powder, the number of times infants and young children were hospitalized was significantly reduced. The roots of the Moringa tree can be made into an external ointment and used as a treatment for external injuries.
