Regarding the toxicity of Heishun Pian, some friends think that Heishun Pian has certain toxicity and cannot be used. In fact, Heishun Pian is basically non-toxic, but it is best to use it after obtaining the advice of a doctor.

The effects of Heishun tablets: restore yang and rescue adverse conditions, replenish fire and assist yang, and expel wind, cold and dampness. Alias: Salt aconite, black aconite, black aconite, light aconite, Sichuan aconite.

Ingredients: Contains a variety of biological alkaloids: Hypa-conitine, Aconitine, Mesaconitine, Talatisamine, Aconitine A and Aconitine B, etc.

Nature and flavor and meridians: pungent, very hot, toxic. Enter the heart, spleen and kidney meridians.

Function and Use: Restore Yang, warm the interior, expel cold, and relieve pain. Tests have shown that it has adrenal cortex hormone-like effects and can also excite the dextrostat center. It also has cardiotonic, anti-inflammatory and analgesic effects.

It should be "Salt Aconite, Bai Shunpian, Hei Shunpian". It's just that the preparation methods are different. No difference in efficacy. In the past, when aconite was harvested from the fields, it was stored in brine to prevent it from rotting. When it was needed to be sold, it was sliced and called salted aconite slices.

Nowadays, light aconite slices are often used. Some people say that using salt to process aconite will introduce it into the kidney meridian, which shows that they do not understand the history of aconite harvesting. Aconite itself is very pungent and hot, and it flows through the twelve meridians, so there is no need to use salt to guide the meridians. Baifu Pian is steamed, smoked with sulfur and then dried. Black Shunpian is dyed black with colorant or cooked with black beans.

Therefore, these "Salt Aconite, Bai Shunpian, Hei Shunpian" are just different in preparation methods, and there is no difference in the effects. If there is a difference in efficacy, it is that during the preparation process, time, heat, ingredients and other aspects will affect the toxicity of aconite.

Heishunpian is Paofuzi, also known as black aconite. It tastes spicy and sweet. It is a very hot Chinese medicine that has the effect of replenishing fire and assisting yang. Therefore, it is suitable for people with yang deficiency. People with both yin and yang deficiency need to supplement both yin and yang. It is not suitable to take very hot Chinese medicine, otherwise the yin will become more deficient and the yang will become more excessive, which will be counterproductive.

Toxicity study: Acute toxicity and cardiotoxicity experiments were conducted on the water extracts and alcohol extracts of each processed sample of Heishun tablets.

The results showed that the water extracts of samples without bile or with low bile content were basically non-toxic, while the water extracts of samples with high bile content were obviously toxic, and the higher the bile content, the greater the toxicity; the toxicity of the alcohol extracts of samples in various processing states was a comprehensive reflection of the toxicity of aconitine components and bile toxicity, and the toxicity of each sample solution was positively correlated with the bile content, and the toxicity of aconite gradually decreased with the processing process.
