Explanation of the prescription: Based on the syndrome differentiation and treatment of weak and cold constitution and combined with cold syndrome and dampness, the treatment should aim to nourish blood, replenish deficiency, dispel cold and remove dampness. The main herbs in the formula, Qianghuo and Duhuo, can dispel cold, dampness and turbidity from the whole body and relieve pain; plus Bupleurum has a pungent and dispersing effect to relieve muscles, Qianghuo can dispel wind, promote blood circulation and relieve pain; supplemented by Bupleurum and Platycodon grandiflorum, Peucedanum scutellariae can relieve cough and resolve phlegm, and Coix seed can drain dampness and strengthen the spleen and stomach.
