Hard skin on feet

Hard skin on feet

Compared to the skin on the hands, people generally ignore the care of the foot skin. In people's opinion, it is unnecessary to care for the foot skin. In fact, people should also take care of the foot skin on a regular basis. If you do not take care of the foot skin, you may find callus on the feet. When callus appears on the feet, it will greatly affect the beauty. People should understand the solution to callus on the feet.

No matter what causes calluses, or how severe they are, removing them and protecting your feet are essential. Calluses are caused by friction between the feet and shoes, or between the feet and shoes, which causes abrasion of the skin. Therefore, you should wear soft, thick-soled shoes, and the shoes and feet should fit tightly together, leaving as little space as possible (it is best if the shoe and foot are like one piece, without sliding friction). Do not wear hard or thin-soled shoes, as this will prevent the formation of new calluses and facilitate callus removal.

There were no calluses originally, but calluses were caused by wearing certain shoes that rubbed your feet, such as high heels, slippers, low-quality labor protection shoes, etc. If you don't wear these shoes for a long time, just stop wearing these shoes and wear normal foot protection shoes instead. You don't need to take any other measures. The calluses will fall off and disappear automatically after a period of time, usually one or two months.

If wearing these inappropriate shoes for a long time causes foot bone deformity and calluses, you must go to the hospital for foot bone correction surgery and take callus removal measures after the surgery to completely eliminate the calluses.

If you did not originally have calluses on your feet but developed them after a short period of heavy labor, a lot of walking, or other complicated activities, the calluses can usually be completely removed in two or three months as long as you stop these complicated foot activities without taking any other measures.

For thick calluses with pointed stratum corneum like corns, they often become pierced under pressure, so the pointed core must be removed. You can use corn ointment to corrode it away. If it is serious, go to the hospital for surgery to remove it.

Calluses formed by long-term wear and tear will often grow again after they are removed, which discourages many people. In fact, calluses need to be persistent and do it a few more times, and they will be removed.

Calluses are usually removed by soaking, washing and abrasion. Use hot water to soften the thick dead skin of the callus, then use a knife to scrape off the soft dead skin. If you can't control the strength of the knife, use a file to grind the skin. No matter which method of skin grinding you use, you cannot remove too much at one time. You must persist in removing dead skin multiple times, and you must not damage the dermis. The dermis is protected by callus skin for a long time. Once it suddenly loses protection or is injured, new calluses will quickly form.

In addition, for calluses, you can also use corrosive methods to remove dead skin. You can buy corrosive substances such as salicylic acid, white vinegar, salicylic acid ointment, etc., just buy one, then apply it to the callus, and then seal the callus with a Band-Aid. After an hour, use a file or other tools to grind off the soft dead skin on the surface. If you don't have a file, you can use your fingernails to peel off the dead skin.

After each peeling, it is best to apply some vanishing cream on the calluses for protection. If you don’t have vanishing cream, use skin care cream or Vaseline. It is recommended to use vanishing cream as much as possible, which is more effective in preventing calluses and protecting the feet.

While exfoliating, you can also soak your feet in mugwort frequently to promote blood circulation in your feet and prevent the formation of new calluses. The specific method is: boil the rice water, then put the mugwort in, add a few drops of aged vinegar, and then let it sit and cool down before soaking your feet.
