How to relieve pain from a leaky nerve tooth

Toothache is a common problem that may manifest as swollen gums, swollen cheeks, and more. Sometimes we loosen our teeth by accidentally eating hard food; other times we have an irregular diet, eating cold and hot food at times, which causes toothache. These problems are the causes of toothache. Leaky nerve toothache is also a type of toothache. How can we relieve the pain of leaky nerve toothache?

Toothaches are mostly caused by infection of the dental pulp (dental nerve) due to gingivitis and periodontitis, caries (cavities) or fractured teeth.

Traditional Chinese medicine believes that toothache is caused by exogenous wind evil, excessive stomach fire, kidney deficiency and fire, and tooth erosion. Gingivitis is a common periodontal disease. It is caused by not paying attention to oral hygiene, long-term stimulation of the teeth by soft plaque and hard tartar formed by food residues and bacteria around the teeth, incorrect brushing habits, vitamin deficiency and other reasons.

1. Tooth decay: pain caused by food stuck in the tooth.

There are effective ways to relieve the pain: remove the embedded food, take eugenol or toothache water, and apply the medicine into the cavity with a cotton swab.

2. Pulpitis : severe pain late at night.

There is a way to relieve pain: dilute the compound borax solution 4 to 5 times with water and rinse your mouth with it. Then put a small cotton swab soaked in camphor phenol, clove oil or toothache water into the cavity; at the same time, take oral analgesics such as ibuprofen to relieve pain.

3. Apical periapical inflammation: pain and looseness.

There are effective pain relievers: oral antibiotics such as cefradine, erythromycin or co-trimoxazole (double the first dose), plus an equal amount of sodium bicarbonate alkaline solution. It is best to take metronidazole at the same time to prevent anaerobic infections. The effect will be better if Scutellaria baicalensis tablets, Isatis root granules or Qingrejiedu oral liquid are taken together.

4. Gingivitis: itchy, swollen and painful teeth.

There is a way to relieve the pain: first rinse the periodontal pocket with 3% hydrogen peroxide solution or saline, wipe it dry, then use a cotton swab to dip the medicine into the periodontal pocket, wipe out the excess medicine, and finally rinse your mouth with 1% hydrogen peroxide solution or compound borax mouthwash.

5. Pericoronitis of wisdom teeth: the pain of “ breaking ground”.

There are effective ways to relieve pain: rinse with normal saline or compound borax mouthwash, then repeatedly rinse the periodontal pockets with normal saline or 3% hydrogen peroxide solution, and finally apply 1%~3% iodine glycerin or iodine phenol, and take antibiotics and antipyretic analgesics orally.

Traditional Chinese medicine acupuncture treatment: The treatment method is to dispel wind and reduce fire, dredge meridians and relieve pain. The main points are the Yangming meridians of hands and feet.

Main acupoints: Hegu, Jiache, Xiaguan

Combined acupoints: For toothache caused by wind-fire, add Waiguan and Fengchi; for toothache caused by stomach-fire, add Neiting and Erjian; for toothache caused by yin deficiency, add Taixi and Xingjian.

Operation: Use drainage method for main acupoints, and cross-puncture the acupoints along the meridians. Continue needling Hegu for 1-3 minutes. The combined acupoint Taixi is used with the tonifying method, the combined acupoint Xingjian is used with the draining method, and the other acupoints are all used with the draining method.

Precautions

1. Avoid spicy, deep-fried, or fried foods that are hot in nature, such as peppers, ginger, fried dough sticks, sesame cakes, biscuits, instant noodles, etc.

2. Do not eat partial food, and have a diversified diet. Eat more vegetables and fruits that are rich in vitamins, such as apples, new greens, spinach, carrots, etc.

3. Be cheerful, don't always think about things that bother you, play with friends more, and live happily every day.

4. Maintain a proper balance between daily life and work, take enough rest, and do not stay online all night.

5. Pay attention to oral hygiene and brush your teeth in the morning and evening.
