How to treat anal leakage?

Anal leakage is a common problem in the anal area. There are many reasons for this problem, such as hemorrhoids caused by abscesses around the anus, colon inflammation, anal impotence, etc. This situation has a great impact on the human body. There will be pain in the anus, and it will be inconvenient to walk, sit, defecate, etc. Therefore, timely measures need to be taken for treatment. Here we will introduce how to treat anal leakage.

Anal leakage is caused by anal fistula caused by perianal abscess, hemorrhoids, colitis, rectal lesions, sphincter relaxation, anal deformation and other reasons. Do not eat high-protein and greasy foods, maintain a normal and optimistic attitude, or clean your anus every day after defecation and in the morning and evening to keep it clean, and use paper towels to pad the anus when necessary.

Anal function exercise: 1. The patient contracts the anus for 5 seconds, then relaxes it for 5 seconds, and continues this for 5 minutes, once a day. 2. Use your mind to consciously perform anal exercises. Lift the anus upward, 1-2 times a day, 30 times each time. 3. Anal contraction exercise. Actively contracting and relaxing the anal sphincter for about 5 minutes before, during and after defecation can improve local blood circulation and enhance the function of the anal sphincter. 4. Anal dilation exercises. Use the index finger of your right hand to apply a small amount of lubricating hemorrhoid ointment or antibiotic ointment, first massage the anus for 1-2 minutes, then slowly penetrate into the anus, generally to a depth of two knuckles, and expand the anal canal in four directions, front, left and back, for about 3 minutes. After pulling out the index finger, you can apply a very small amount of hemorrhoid ointment on the anus. Do this once a day for half a month to a month. If long-term Chinese and Western medicine treatment is ineffective, surgical treatment can be performed. Complex anal fistulas are treated with dissection and suture, and drainage and mobile flap suture are performed to achieve a complete cure, maintain the normal function and morphology of the anus, speed up healing, and shorten hospitalization time.

Treatment: 1. Drug treatment of anal fistula has intermittent period and attack period. There will be no symptoms at all during the intermission period, and no medication is required. During the attack period, symptoms such as pus discharge, redness, swelling, and pain will appear. If surgery cannot be performed immediately, medication can be used to temporarily relieve the symptoms. (1) For external treatment, use anti-swelling and analgesic lotion for sitz bath and apply golden ointment externally. (2) Use of antibiotics Antibiotics can be used during acute attacks, but generally not for more than one week. (3) For internal use, take the Chinese medicine Bixie Shenshi Decoction plus Huadu Chushi Decoction with modifications. If accompanied by fever, use Xianfang Huoming Drink. 2. Surgical treatment (1) Incision and drainage: During the acute phase of anal fistula with concurrent infection, if surgery is not possible due to other health factors, a small incision can be made on the surface of the infected area for drainage or pus can be drawn out with a syringe. This method has an immediate effect, but it is only a temporary relief and radical surgery will be needed in the future. (2) Drainage by catheterization or hanging wires For high-position fistulas or complex fistulas with multiple tracts, surgery is not an option. However, in order to prevent the condition from getting worse or spreading, a drainage tube or drainage strip can be placed in the fistula tract and flushed with drugs every day. Although this cannot cure the condition, it can control the condition. (3) Anal fistula incision is the most classic and mainstream surgical procedure for anal fistula. More than 90% of low-position anal fistulas are treated with this method.
