Hip Dysplasia Symptoms

Hip Dysplasia Symptoms

Decades ago, people's living standards were generally low and living conditions were poor, so nutrition could not keep up, resulting in hip dysplasia. Some people were born with congenital dysplasia, so they would suffer from various diseases, especially those that were particularly obvious when they were young. Most of the weak and sickly children were dysplastic. Although the minor diseases caused by hip dysplasia do not have a great impact on the patient's life, as they grow older, patients will feel its serious impact. What are the symptoms of hip dysplasia?

Symptoms of Hip Dysplasia

1. The early symptoms of adult hip dysplasia are often fatigue, soreness, swelling and dull pain in the affected hip, which often worsens after activities. It can also occur in other parts such as the groin area, front of the thigh and buttocks. Physical examination often reveals hip tenderness, pain with rotation, and normal or supernormal range of motion.

2. In the middle and late stages, the clinical symptoms are worsening hip pain, secondary lameness, and gradual onset of resting pain. Severe joint subluxation may lead to limb shortening deformity. Initially, the joint range of motion may be normal or even abnormal, but as osteoarthritis gradually worsens, joint movement will be restricted to varying degrees.

How to diagnose hip dysplasia

1. X-ray examination: Plain X-ray is the most basic method for diagnosing hip dislocation and fracture. Most hip dislocation X-rays can show it correctly. However, the hip joint has a complex structure with overlapping anterior and posterior structures. Although most hip fracture X-rays can confirm the presence or absence of a fracture, it is difficult to show the exact extent of the fracture, the exact location, the exact direction of displacement, and the relationship with the joint capsule.

2. Conventional CT. Conventional CT can make a correct diagnosis for most hip dislocations. Its advantage over X-rays is that it can clearly show the direction and degree of dislocation. More importantly, it can clearly and accurately show whether there are bone fragments in the hip joint, which directly determines the patient's treatment plan and prognosis.

Our bones start to grow from the moment we are in our mother's body, and they continue to grow from birth to adulthood. Through so many years of nutritional supplementation, our bones are becoming more and more perfect and stronger. This is inseparable from the fact that we must exercise more in our lives to strengthen our bodies. These are all achieved through acquired efforts. If you want to have a good physique, you must exercise well.
