The female inflorescence is spike-shaped, erect, grown at the top of young branches, usually with 1-3 female flowers, 3 involucral bracts, long ovate, attached to the ovary, and enlarged with the ovary after flowering; the perianth is 4-lobed, the lobes are linear, and higher than the involucral bracts.
