Why does my two-month-old baby sweat on his palms?

After a child is born, parents need to take good care of the child, especially when the child cannot speak yet, to prevent the baby from getting sick and being ignored. Some mothers are particularly careful and will find that the palms of their babies who are only two months old are often wet. So what’s going on when a two-month-old baby’s palms sweat? Is this a physiological phenomenon or a disease? I believe mothers have questions about this issue, but the best way is to consult a doctor.

Sweating of the palms, also known as hyperhidrosis of the hands, is a very common functional local abnormal sweating with unknown cause. Because of racial specificity, young people growing up in subtropical areas are particularly prone to this problem. The secretion of sweat glands is controlled by the sympathetic nervous system, and hyperhidrosis of the palms is caused by excessive tension of the sympathetic nervous system for unknown reasons, such as tension, excitement, stress or high temperatures in summer, which causes abnormally increased sweating of the palms.

Surveys show that the incidence rate is about 0.3% among young people aged 10 to 30, regardless of gender, and the family history rate is as high as 13% (it is hereditary). Most people suffer from sweaty hands since childhood, and the condition becomes more serious during adolescence. Patients with hyperhidrosis of the hands are healthy and normal except for sweating of the hands. Most of them also have excessive sweating on the soles of the feet or under the armpits, and a few patients also have body odor. Sweating in your hands is different from sweating in other parts of your body. The other parts sweat because it is hot, and the hotter it is, the more you sweat.

Sweating on the palms is related to physical fitness, endocrine system, etc. For a healthy person, the palms should be dry even if he is sweating all over. People who often sweat on their hands often have no sweat on their bodies, but their palms are full of cold sweat and feel icy. Some people's hands sweat more as winter approaches. Sweating in the palms of your hands is a sign of a weak constitution. If you are also afraid of cold and your hands and feet are cold in winter, then this is probably the case. Eat more warming and nourishing foods to regulate your body and exercise more to speed up blood circulation and promote metabolism, which should have good results.
