What causes pain on the inner arch of the foot?

Feet play a very important role in the human body. Standing, walking, running, jumping, etc. all require the participation of feet. However, because people do not pay enough attention to the care of their feet, or are overworked and so on, it is very easy for the feet to have some adverse reactions. Pain on the inner arch of the foot is a relatively common condition. If this happens, people need to understand the cause in detail and then treat it. Here we will introduce what is causing pain on the inner arch of the foot.

Arch pain is usually caused by strain on the arch after strenuous exercise or long-term walking. It may also be caused by plantar fasciitis and calcaneal bone hyperplasia.

You can go to the hospital to check which condition you have. For arch strain, rest and treatment with massage, topical medication, physical therapy, etc. will get better.

treat

[Treatment policy]

Use physical therapy, arch support, and stretching exercises as appropriate. Drug treatment, closed treatment.

[Drug treatment]

The pain was severe and was treated with oral nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory analgesics.

[Other treatments]

1. Physical therapy: Rest and use physical therapy to improve heel pain, including ultrashort wave, electrotherapy, etc. For heel pain caused by standing for a long time or exercising, you can apply ice to the heel for 10 to 15 minutes. If there is no significant improvement, local blockade may be considered. 2. Arch support Using insoles with arch support can evenly disperse the pressure on the soles of the patients' feet, which can effectively reduce the tension on the plantar fascia when the lower limbs are weight-bearing, thereby reducing the damage to the plantar fascia caused by repeated pulling. 3. Other treatments (1) Local blockade therapy. (2) Topical patches can stimulate nerve endings, reduce irritation, and relieve pain. (3) Soaking your feet in hot water regularly can relieve pain.

[Prognosis]

With effective treatment and care, the prognosis is generally good.

[Daily Care]

Stretching exercise 1. Lean against the wall and stretch your upper arms forward to the height of your shoulders. Press the wall with your palms. When you bend one knee and push it toward the wall, keep the other knee straight. When you bend your knee and slowly lean forward, try to keep your heel flat on the ground. When you feel the stretch on your Achilles tendon and arch of the foot, maintain this position for 10 seconds, then relax and stand upright. 2. Lean forward against a fixed object and slowly squat down, keeping your heels on the ground. When you feel your Achilles tendon and arch of your foot rising off the ground and your muscles fully stretched, hold this position for 10 seconds and then stand up. Can be practiced repeatedly. 3. Stand on the bottom step of the stairs balancing on your front foot and slowly lower your heel until you begin to feel your calf muscles stretch. Hold this position for 10 seconds, then stand up and repeat.

[Dietary adjustment]

Develop a good habit of drinking tea, especially green tea, which has good antibacterial and antioxidant effects, can promote blood circulation, and you can also eat more fish and seaweed.
