Menstruation is delayed and there is still leucorrhea?

Menstruation is a barometer of women's physical health. If a woman usually experiences delayed menstruation, she should first consider whether she is pregnant. Generally speaking, if she has sex, delayed menstruation is likely to be pregnancy. It is best to go to the hospital for a check-up to make sure that she is not pregnant. If menstruation is delayed and there is leucorrhea, the situation varies from person to person. If the leucorrhea has an odor, it is generally a sign of gynecological inflammation.

What is the cause of delayed menstruation and leucorrhea?

The cessation of menstruation is the earliest and most important "signal" of early pregnancy. Generally, a delay of 7 days in menstruation is normal. If it is more than 10 days late, you are very likely pregnant. There may be an increase in vaginal discharge.

The increase in vaginal discharge in the early stages of pregnancy is due to the effect of estrogen in the female body. The water in the cervix and vaginal walls and the blood in the blood vessels are more than usual, so the vaginal discharge naturally increases as well.

If you are pregnant, there will be a significant increase in leucorrhea. This is because after pregnancy, the estrogen in the body gradually increases with the advancement of pregnancy months. Estrogen can promote the secretion of mucus by the cervix and endometrial glands. The blood flow in the genitals, vagina, and cervix of pregnant women is vigorous, and the tissue water increases, so the secretions also increase, and the amount of leucorrhea also increases accordingly.

In addition to the symptoms of leucorrhea, physiological changes in the early stages of pregnancy include cessation of menstruation, increased vaginal discharge, and bleeding. Although the amount of vaginal discharge will increase in the early stages of pregnancy, if the increase is serious and the color and condition of the vaginal discharge are abnormal, it may be some kind of gynecological inflammation and you need to go to the hospital for examination.
