What are the symptoms of insomnia?

1. Type of difficulty falling asleep: tossing and turning, falling asleep 1-3 hours later than usual. The patient said that he was very sleepy and wanted to sleep, but he just couldn’t fall asleep when lying in bed. He tossed and turned and thought about all sorts of things, couldn’t calm down, and his sleep time was significantly reduced. Some patients feel sleepy, drowsy and listless during the day but are excited and unable to sleep at night. They take naps while studying, attending meetings or in classes, or fall asleep while leaning on the sofa while watching TV. But they become energetic again as soon as they lie down on the bed and cannot fall asleep no matter what.

2. Type of sleep disorder: Lack of real sense of sleep. Many patients can fall asleep soundly, but after waking up they firmly believe that they did not fall asleep, while the people in the same room or their spouse say that they have been snoring.

3. The type that is prone to dreaming: The patient feels that he or she has not slept soundly, and is neither asleep nor awake all night long. As soon as he or she closes his or her eyes, he or she dreams, and wakes up at the slightest movement. Some wake up early, no matter when they fall asleep, and wake up at three o'clock in the morning. It is even more difficult to fall asleep again after waking up, so they have to stare until dawn. Insomnia patients all know that it is most painful when they cannot fall asleep. Some patients often have nightmares. They wake up from terrifying and thrilling dreams, break out in cold sweats, feel nervous and have palpitations, and look pale. They dare not fall asleep again. This is also a symptom of insomnia.
