The lips and tongue are very important tissues in the body. They are the core part of the oral cavity. Although the tongue looks soft and weak, it has a decisive influence on pronunciation. The lips are also a key line of defense to protect the inside of the oral cavity. Therefore, people attach great importance to the health of the lips and tongue. The health of the lips and tongue is often affected by inflammation. Let’s take a look at what lip and tongue inflammation is like.

Glossitis refers to a chronic, nonspecific inflammation of the tongue. The tongue is a special part of the human body. Changes in tongue quality and tongue coating can often reflect changes in internal organ function. The main symptoms of glossitis are redness and smoothness of the tongue surface. Glossitis is also an oral complication of some systemic diseases, and is more common in patients with anemia, riboflavin deficiency, malabsorption syndrome, heart failure, and menopausal syndrome in women.

Glossitis treatment:

Treat the cause of the disease and check and actively treat systemic diseases such as anemia, gastrointestinal dysfunction, etc. Antibiotics should be used rationally, nutrition and diet should be adjusted rationally, and adequate B vitamins, especially vitamin B2 (riboflavin), should be supplemented.

Cheilitis Treatment:

Correct bad living habits: smoke less, drink less, do not use antibiotics at will, do not use inferior or unsuitable lipstick, and do not blindly get lip tattoos. Avoid factors that may cause allergic reactions. Change the habit of biting lips and tongue to avoid mucous membrane trauma.

Eat more fresh fruits and vegetables, such as protein-rich foods, and less sour, numb, spicy, astringent, hot and fried foods. Don't eat inferior foods pickled with industrial salt, fried with "waste oil" or stir-fried with lime.
