Bladder meridian acupoints

Bladder meridian acupoints

There are 12 main meridians distributed in the human body, and the bladder meridian is an important one among the 12 meridians. At the same time, there are many acupoints on the bladder meridian, and each acupoint is connected to a different part of the human organ. One of the acupoints is called the Bladder Meridian Yuan Point, which refers to an important smell on the internal organs of the human body, so the Yuan point plays a very important role in the human lungs. Next, I will introduce to you some detailed knowledge about the original acupoints of the bladder meridian.

Yuan points are the places where the original qi of the internal organs passes and stays. Each of the twelve meridians has an original point near the wrist and ankle joints, collectively known as the twelve original points. The Yuan point of the Yin meridian is the Shu point of the five Shu points of this meridian, while the Yang meridian has other Yuan points in addition to the Shu points. In clinical practice, Yuan points can be used to treat diseases of the organs to which they belong, and the strength or weakness of the organs' functions can also be inferred based on the changes in the responses of the Yuan points.

“When there is disease in the five internal organs, the twelve origins should be investigated; when there is disease in the five internal organs, the twelve origins should be taken.” Therefore, when diseases occur in the internal organs, they will be reflected in the corresponding Yuan acupoints. Through the various abnormal changes in the Yuan acupoints, the prosperity and decline of the internal organs can be inferred. In clinical practice, acupuncture of Yuan points can make the original Qi of the triple burner flow freely and regulate the functions of the internal organs and meridians, thereby playing its role in maintaining positive Qi and resisting pathogenic factors. In addition, Yuan points are often combined with Luo points in treatment, which is called Yuanluo combined points, to treat diseases between the exterior and interior meridians; Yuanshu points are combined to treat diseases of the meridian; Yuanhe points are combined to treat related diseases between internal organs, etc.

Explanation of the Names of Jinggu Points

(1) Jing bone. Jing, in ancient times, referred to an artificially built high hill or a large round barn. Bones are water. The name of this acupoint means that the damp and cold moisture of the bladder meridian gathers here. The substance of this point is the moisture and air that rises from the heat of the bladder meridian. It is cold in nature and gathers at this point, like a large warehouse for storing grains, hence the name.

(2) Bladder meridian original point. The substance of this point is the cold and cool water vapor in the celestial part. It has a large qi and blood field and can best reflect the qi and blood nature of the bladder. It is the source of the output of the cold and damp water vapor in the bladder meridian, so it is the original point of the bladder meridian.
