Diseases are very common in life. There are many types of diseases, and different diseases cause different harms to the human body. For example, colds, coughs, and fevers may seem to be minor illnesses, but they are very harmful to the human internal organs. Severe fevers, in particular, can have a lot of impact on the brain. Therefore, any disease needs to be treated in a timely manner. So what should be the diet for kidney stones? It is necessary to have some knowledge of the dietary methods for kidney stones, so that you will know what to do when eating. People should arrange their diet reasonably in daily life, which will be of great help to all aspects of the human body. Diet for kidney stones : 1) Add 100g walnut kernels and 200g rice into water and cook into porridge for drinking. 2) Cut 100 cm long sunflower stalk into 3 cm long pieces, decoct in water and take once a day for 1 month. 3) Boil 30g~60g of water chestnut stems and drink it as tea. 4) Mash the fresh bottle gourd and take its juice, mix it with honey, take half a cup each time, twice a day. 5) Cut 5 fresh carambolas into pieces, add 5 bowls of water and boil until 3 bowls remain. Add honey and drink. 6) Shell 20g pumpkin seeds, take out the kernels, mash them into a paste, add appropriate amount of sugar and stir, take with warm water on an empty stomach in the morning and evening. 2. What foods are good for kidney stones? 1) Drink more water. The first step to preventing kidney stones is to drink plenty of water (or maybe the only step). 240 ml cup, drink at least six to eight cups a day. Although water is always a good choice, other decaffeinated, nonalcoholic beverages are also good (your doctor will caution you not to drink too much decaffeinated tea if your urine oxalate levels are too high). One of the best ways to prevent kidney stones is to drink plenty of water every day, at least six to eight glasses per day. 2) Eat more dairy products. Most kidney stones (about 90%) are composed of calcium and oxalate. Because dairy products are rich in calcium, doctors used to recommend that all kidney stone patients eat less of these foods. But recent studies suggest that consuming dairy products may actually reduce your risk of kidney stones because the calcium in them helps the body remove other substances that can cause stone formation. However, your doctor may advise you not to take calcium supplements. If you have kidney stones, ask your doctor how much calcium is safe in your diet. 3) Take more vitamin A. Vitamin A is necessary for maintaining the overall health of the urinary tract. Foods rich in vitamin A include sweet potatoes, pumpkin, winter squash, cabbage, and carrots. The Recommended Daily Allowance (RDA) of vitamin A for healthy adults is 5,000 IU, which can be easily met by a balanced, varied diet. Don't rush to take vitamin A supplements. If you take in too much vitamin A, your body won't be able to excrete it and it will accumulate and become toxic. 4) Increase the intake of vitamin B. Scientists have found that vitamin B6 can reduce the level of oxalate in the blood, thereby preventing the formation of stones. Magnesium also appears to prevent stones. Your doctor may recommend daily supplementation of vitamin B6 or magnesium (or a combination of both). When supplementing with vitamin B6, do not exceed 25 mg per day. 3. What foods should you avoid if you have kidney stones? 1) Eat less oxalate. Eating plenty of fruits and vegetables provides a wealth of vitamins, minerals, and other beneficial nutrients; however, some of these foods also contain oxalate and should be eaten in moderation if you are prone to kidney stones. Doctors recommend that patients who are susceptible to calcium oxalate stones avoid the following foods when they have excess oxalate in their urine: beets, chocolate, coffee, cola, nuts, parsley, peanuts, rhubarb, spinach, strawberries, tea, and wheat bran. However, don't eliminate these foods completely without consulting your doctor. Generally, these foods can be consumed in limited amounts. 2) Eat less meat and certain fish. People with uric acid stones tend to consume large amounts of animal protein. Animal protein accelerates the production of uric acid and calcium in the urine, which can lead to the formation of stones. Therefore, eat meat in moderation. 3) Uric acid is also formed after the purine in protein food is degraded. If you have uric acid stones, you will also need to reduce your protein intake, especially foods high in purines. These foods include: anchovies, caviar, herring, mackerel, clams, sardines, and shrimp. Other foods that are high in purines and that require caution include: beer, brain, heart, kidney, liver, offal, and wine. Certain fish are high in purines, which can lead to the formation of uric acid kidney stones. Through the above introduction, we have a good grasp of the dietary methods for kidney stones. Some unhealthy eating habits should be avoided, especially for those who like to drink and smoke. These practices are very harmful to one's own health and will prevent the body from developing healthily. |
