How to use eye drops

White-collar workers in offices need to face computers all day long, and students are under great pressure as they basically have to do homework or read books at their desks every day, so these two groups are the ones who use their eyes the most. If you keep your eyes in a state of fatigue for a long time without letting them relax and rest, it will easily cause visual fatigue. In severe cases, it will reduce your vision and cause myopia.

For office workers and students, if your eyes are tired, it is best to let your eyes rest for a while. In fact, the most helpful thing is to put eye drops in your eyes after eye fatigue. Eye drops can help relieve eye fatigue.

First, wash your hands before applying eye drops, then take the eye drops out of the refrigerator (eye drops should generally be stored in a refrigerator at 4°C), and check whether the medicine is expired, precipitated, discolored, or has an odor. If it is found to be deteriorated, it cannot be used. When using precipitating drugs, they should be shaken well before use. Before applying the eye drops, the patient should use a sterilized cotton swab to wipe away the secretions and tears from the affected eye to improve the efficacy. , take a sit or supine position, tilt your head back slightly, use the left thumb and index finger to gently separate the upper and lower eyelids, look up, hold the eye drops in your right hand, drop 1 to 2 drops of the medicine into the eyelid, then gently lift the upper eyelid to allow the medicine to be fully distributed in the conjunctival sac. Close your eyes for 1 to 2 minutes. Do not close your eyes forcefully to avoid squeezing out the medicine. Children should not cry after applying eye drops to prevent their tears from diluting the medicine and making it ineffective. Here we must remind you that when using more than two types of eye drops, be sure to clearly indicate the name, concentration, and dosage of the medicines. When using, be sure to check the name of the medicine carefully to prevent mistakes. When using two or more medications in one eye at the same time, there should be a 2 to 3 minute interval between the use of each medication.

Eyes are the windows through which humans see the world, and we should protect them. Nowadays, many people may need to use their eyes for a long time due to work or study requirements. Excessive use of eyes will cause eye fatigue and easily lead to myopia. Therefore, there are more and more myopia patients now, which shows that protecting eyesight is very important.
