Penicillin is a common type of antibiotic. In daily life, it mainly interferes with the synthesis of some bacterial organelles. It has many common pharmacological effects on some bacteria. It can also have antibacterial effects on some viral bacteria. In daily life, many people will have some penicillin allergy. Penicillin is mainly used to treat pneumonia, tonsillitis, and otitis media. Penicillin also has a very good effect in treating some tissue inflammations and bacterial endocarditis. However, penicillin is easily absorbed regardless of the route of administration. Generally, it is mainly injected intramuscularly to prevent allergies. However, some allergic history of penicillin injection must be understood before injection. To prevent allergies, it is mainly necessary to understand whether the patient has a history of penicillin allergy before using the medicine. If so, it must not be used. If there is no history of allergy, the injection should be subjected to a skin test according to the prescribed dose (the commonly used penicillin skin test solution contains 100-1000 units of drug per milliliter, and 0.1 mg is used for intradermal test, that is, 10-100 units of penicillin are injected intradermally). After 20 minutes, if local redness and swelling with pseudopodia appear, and the diameter of the lump is greater than 1 cm, it is a positive reaction, and the injection should not be given. If negative, the injection can be given. After the injection is completed, the patient should not leave immediately, but should wait for 10 minutes without any reaction before leaving. Stop the medication after continuous use, usually continue the medication after 24 hours, and it is recommended to repeat the skin test. Causes of allergies: Under the stimulation of allergens, the human body produces antibodies by effector B cells. These antibodies are adsorbed on the surface of certain cells in the skin, respiratory or digestive tract mucosa and blood. When the same allergen enters the body again, it will combine with the corresponding antibodies adsorbed on the cell surface, causing the above cells to release substances such as histamine, thereby causing allergic symptoms. The above is what to do if you are allergic to penicillin. In daily life, penicillin mainly produces some antibodies in the human body, which are adsorbed on the skin, respiratory tract, digestible mucosa and certain cell surfaces as allergens. When they enter the body again, they will produce some allergic reactions. Therefore, before using penicillin injection, you must perform a skin test in advance, otherwise it is easy to cause a series of common diseases. |
