It is contraindicated for people with jaundice due to various reasons, those who have recovered from acute or chronic hepatitis for less than one year, those with a history of mental illness, pregnant or lactating women, those working at heights, and those driving.

3. Hexachloroxylene (Xuefang 846) dry powder type 50-70 mg/kg per day, taken all at once or divided into 2 doses, 5-7 days as a course of treatment, the total dose for adults is generally 17.5g. This drug is slowly metabolized and excreted, and has certain side effects and delayed reactions. Some patients may experience liver damage, toxic psychosis, and hemolytic reactions. Therefore, patients with the above medical history, severe neurosis, and hemoglobinopathy should not take it. Nitrothiocyanamide and hexachlorop-xylene are now rarely used.

4. Albendazole (Albendazole): It is a highly effective broad-spectrum anthelmintic discovered in recent years. The dosage is 5-10 mg/kg each time, twice a day, for 7 consecutive days. There are few side effects, a few may cause dizziness, fatigue, diarrhea, etc., which can be relieved on their own. Pregnant women and children under 2 years old should not use it. For patients with concurrent biliary tract infection, antibiotics should be added, and surgery may be considered if ineffective.

Two prescriptions for treating liver fluke: 10 grams of Curcuma zedoaria, 15 grams of white bark of Melia azedarach root, 25 grams each of roasted Torreya grandis nuts and betel nut.
