In addition, there is another type of multiple round or oval nodular lipomas, which are commonly found subcutaneously on the limbs, waist, and abdomen. The size and number of the tumor are uncertain. It is slightly harder than ordinary lipomas and painful when pressed, so it is called painful lipoma or multiple lipomas.

Lipoma is a tumor of normal fatty tissue that often occurs on the limbs and trunk and generally causes no pain or other discomfort. Lipoma grows slowly. Multiple lipomas are generally small, soft in texture, and may have a pseudocystic feeling. Lipomas often occur in multiple locations and have a family history. Lipoma is not liposarcoma. Liposarcoma is a highly malignant tumor that grows rapidly, is large in size, hard in texture, and is mostly single.
