How many types of nephritis are there? These four types are the most common

Nephritis is a very harmful disease clinically. After suffering from nephritis, people need to understand its type in order to effectively treat the disease. So, how many types of nephritis are there?

(1) Rapidly progressive nephritis:

The onset is sudden, the condition is severe and the disease progresses rapidly. Symptoms such as proteinuria, hematuria, tubular urine, and edema are all obvious, and there may be hypertension, rapidly developing anemia, and hypoproteinemia. Renal function progressively declines, resulting in oliguria or anuria.

(2) Chronic nephritis:

The onset is slow, the disease is protracted, and the symptoms are sometimes mild and sometimes severe. Renal function gradually declines, and anemia, retinopathy and uremia may occur in the later stages. There are varying degrees of proteinuria, edema, hypertension and other symptoms, with varying degrees of severity.

(3) Acute nephritis:

The onset is acute, the severity of the disease varies, and most cases have a good prognosis. With proper treatment, recovery usually occurs within a few months to a year. What are the symptoms of acute nephritis? There are proteinuria, hematuria, often edema, hypertension or transient renal insufficiency.

(4) Latent glomerulonephritis:

It is characterized by asymptomatic microscopic hematuria, small amounts of proteinuria, and tubular urine, with no obvious clinical symptoms.
