Arrhythmia can be treated through traditional Chinese medicine or a combination of Chinese and Western medicine. Traditional Chinese medicine has few side effects in treating arrhythmia, while some Western medicines for treating arrhythmia may cause the disease.

1. If the patient presents with palpitations, shortness of breath, fatigue, spontaneous sweating, dizziness, insomnia, dreaminess, pale or sallow complexion, pale tongue, weak pulse, etc., it is a symptom of insufficient Qi and blood, and malnutrition of the heart meridians. The treatment should be to invigorate Qi and blood, nourish the heart and calm the mind. This medicine is composed of ginseng, astragalus, white atractylodes, angelica, longan pulp, spinach seed, polygala, poria, costus root, roasted licorice, jujube, etc.

Take 1 pill each time, 3 times a day.

2. If the patient presents with symptoms of palpitations, restlessness , irritability, insomnia, frequent dreams, dizziness, tinnitus, red face and dry throat, back pain, night sweats, short and yellow urine, red tongue, thin yellow fur, and a thin and rapid pulse, it is a symptom of deficiency of heart yin and lack of nourishment to the heart. The treatment should be to nourish yin and reduce fire, nourish the heart and calm the mind. This medicine is composed of raw rehmannia, Yuanshen, Asparagus cochinchinensis, Ophiopogon japonicus, Angelica sinensis, Salvia miltiorrhiza, ginseng, Poria cocos, Ziziphus jujuba seed, Platycladus cypress seed, Schisandra chinensis, and Polygala tenuifolia. Take 1 pill each time, 3 times a day.

3. If the patient presents with palpitations, shortness of breath, pale complexion, lack of energy, restlessness, low voice and weak breathing, especially after fatigue, chest tightness, wheezing at night, fear of cold and preference for warmth, even limb fainting, clear and long urination, pale tongue with white coating, slow and deep pulse, etc., these are symptoms of weak heart yang, weak circulation of qi and blood, and lack of nourishment to the heart. Treatment should be to warm and tonify the heart yang, calm the nerves and relieve palpitations. Optional: Ginseng, Ophiopogon japonicus, Schisandra chinensis, Astragalus membranaceus, Aconitum carmichaelii, etc. Take 1 piece (10 ml) each time, 2 to 3 times a day.

4. If the patient presents with palpitations and chest tightness , occasional chest pain, pain like needles, or radiating pain to the back and upper limbs, bluish lips and nails, petechiae or ecchymosis on the tongue, sluggish or intermittent pulse, etc., the symptoms are obstruction of the heart meridian and lack of nourishment to the heart. The treatment should be to regulate qi and activate blood circulation, unblock meridians and calm the mind. You can choose Xinshubao, which is composed of Acanthopanax senticosus, Salvia miltiorrhiza, White Peony Root, Hawthorn, Curcuma, etc. Take 2 tablets each time, 2 to 3 times a day. Other options such as Shuxin Oral Liquid and Xinkeshu Tablets can also be used as reference.

5. If the patient presents with symptoms such as palpitations, shortness of breath , frequent dreams, easy awakening, easy fright, restlessness, fear of wind and spontaneous sweating, restlessness, aversion to loud noises, pale tongue, weak pulse, etc., this is due to timidity and cowardice, and disturbance of the mind. The treatment should be to invigorate the qi and nourish the heart, and calm the nerves. The optional ingredients include: ginseng, Poria cocos, Poria cocos, Polygala tenuifolia, cypress seed, spiny jujube seed, amber, Acorus calamus, and Angelica sinensis. Take 1 pill each time, 3 times a day.
