What does a weak pulse mean?

A thin pulse mainly refers to the pulse feeling thinner than that of a normal person. In fact, this may be caused by yin deficiency or blood deficiency. These people often experience symptoms such as dry mouth and throat, irritability, and yellow urine, especially menopausal women.

1. A thin pulse refers to a pulse that feels thinner than a normal person's, or even as thin as a thread. A thin pulse indicates deficiency syndrome, which is mostly caused by yin deficiency or blood deficiency.

2. Yin deficiency is mostly caused by blood deficiency, and "Yin deficiency causes internal heat." Commonly chosen foods include sesame, glutinous rice, mung bean, lotus root, watercress, cabbage, black fungus, white fungus, tofu, sugarcane, plum, peach, watermelon, cucumber, lily, yam, squid, turtle, sea cucumber, abalone, crab, milk, oyster, clams, jellyfish, duck meat, pork skin, etc. These foods are mostly sweet, cold and refreshing in nature, and have the effect of nourishing the body's yin. It can be appropriately combined with yin-replenishing medicinal food for targeted conditioning.

4. People with yin deficiency and excess fire should eat less spicy food, eat less hot pot, and not eat too much chicken. They should also eat less steamed, fried, stir-fried, and grilled foods. Among fruits, they should avoid longan meat and lychees if possible. Yin deficiency is the only condition that does not require abstention from cold drinks, as cold drinks have a regulating effect on Yin deficiency. Of course, eating more is encouraged but not excessive.
