Erysipelas is a common skin disease characterized by large areas of redness on the face or legs. Some people think that erysipelas is just a minor illness and do not take it seriously. 2 Causes of erysipelas: It is mostly invaded through damaged areas of the skin or mucous membranes, and can also be infected through the bloodstream. Therefore, factors such as nasal inflammation, nose picking, ear picking, and tinea pedis are often the causes of erysipelas. The pathogens can lurk in the lymphatic vessels and cause recurrences.

Local treatment for erysipelas: Elevate the affected limb.

Systemic treatment of erysipelas: patients should rest in bed and receive timely symptomatic treatment. Both systemic and local treatments belong to Western medicine.
