What should I do if I have dysmenorrhea and lower back pain?

Dysmenorrhea and lower back pain are a problem that many women will encounter during menstruation, so at this time, you should pay attention to correct care and coping methods. Do not hit your waist with your hands. You should pay attention to nutritional supplements, rest more, and apply appropriate hot compresses to the local area.

1. Never beat your waist with your hands. Just use your hands to rub your waist from top to bottom. Don't use too much force. Just rub it gently. During this special period, girls are already weak, and beating them hard may cause them to be unable to bear it, and it is more likely to cause menstrual disorders.

2. The reason for back and waist pain is related to the poor discharge of menstrual blood. You can use a hot water bag to apply heat to your lower abdomen, which can prevent the lower abdomen from getting cold to a certain extent, promote blood circulation, and reduce the chance of back and abdominal pain.

3. Don’t slouch on the chair in a sloppy manner. Since you have back pain, use the small pillow, sit up straight, keep your head up and chest out. This upright posture can reduce the pain in your waist and abdomen.

4. Apply hot compress to Guanyuan acupoint. Put the other four fingers of your right hand except the thumb together, and then take the middle joint of the middle finger as the standard. The horizontal width is 3 inches. Use it as a reference to find the Guanyuan point four fingers below the navel. Add a few drops of lavender essential oil to hot water, then wet a towel, wring it out slightly, and use the hot towel to apply hot compress to the Guanyuan acupoint. After the temperature of the towel drops, wet it again, wring it out, and apply hot compress again. Repeat this hot compress for 10 minutes.

5. Press the Hegu point. If you put your index finger and thumb together, you can see a bulging muscle. The highest point of this bulging muscle is the Hegu point. Whenever you have time every day, use the thumb of one hand to press the Hegu point of the other hand. Press with a little force each time, hold for 5 seconds, release, and repeat. Repeat this process for 3 minutes.

6. The Mingmen point and the Shenque point (also known as the belly button) on your abdomen are opposite to each other. Just draw a circle around your waist with your navel as the standard, and the intersection with the midline of your back is the Mingmen point. You can add a few drops of lavender essential oil to hot water, then wet a towel, wring it out slightly, and use the hot towel to apply hot compress to the Mingmen acupoint.
