How to treat dark shadows in the eyes

Dark shadows in the eyes are very common in clinical practice. A big reason for this is vitreous opacities, which also has a direct impact on people's lives. The problem of dark shadows in the eyes must be taken seriously. In clinical practice, the treatment methods of traditional Chinese medicine and Western medicine are different. Patients can choose the method that suits them best based on their own situation. So how can you treat dark shadows under your eyes?

1. Western medicine

Generally, anti-inflammatory or hemostatic treatment is first applied to the cause, followed by the use of iodine preparations, hyaluronidase, urokinase or calcium preparations to promote absorption; physical therapies such as ultrashort wave or ultrasound and sodium iodide ion penetration can also be tried.

2. Traditional Chinese Medicine

According to the patient's constitution, symptoms and local conditions, Chinese medicine has been widely recognized by the medical community for its flexible use of drugs to treat vitreous opacities.

3. Combination of Chinese and Western Medicine

The combination of traditional Chinese medicine and Western medicine, combined with modern treatment methods, can reduce the adverse reactions caused by the use of Western medicine alone. Compared with the use of Western medicine alone, it can shorten the course of the disease and improve the efficacy.

4. Treatment of physiological floaters does not require treatment

Pathological turbidity should be treated according to the primary disease. Fresh vitreous hemorrhage should be treated with bed rest and the use of hemostatic drugs. For patients with old bleeding, use drugs that promote turbid absorption, such as Dionine eye drops, oral vitamin C, thiabazole, etc.; intramuscular injection of iodine or hyaluronidase. For severe cases that do not respond to general treatment, vitrectomy may be used. Western ophthalmology believes that this disease is not an independent disease, but a symptom of certain eye diseases. Therefore, the treatment of this disease attaches great importance to the treatment of the primary disease. Generally, after the primary disease is cured in time, vitreous opacities can be gradually and slowly absorbed. There are also those who use hyaluronidase, urokinase, streptokinase, etc. for auxiliary treatment. Because the cause of this disease is complex, Western medicine should be used under the guidance of an ophthalmologist.
