What to do if your child has diarrhea and vomits

Children's immune systems are very weak, so they are very easy to get sick. Even a slight chill or a sudden gust of wind could make them sick. Many parents have experienced their children having diarrhea, and it is really heartbreaking when they are so young. Sometimes you really have diarrhea and vomiting, and you have no idea what to do except see a doctor. Here I will explain this situation in detail.

First, stomach pain caused by indigestion.

If the baby's diarrhea is caused by indigestion, the first thing to do is to control his diet. Try to avoid eating beans, leeks, rice and other foods that are difficult to digest. Let the baby eat more steamed buns (baked steamed buns are better, which have a stomach-strengthening effect), drink porridge, and you can also give the baby some hawthorn water, etc., to relieve the baby's indigestion. And the daily food intake should be controlled. Don't let the baby eat too much in one meal. It is better to eat small meals frequently. Secondly, if the baby often suffers from indigestion and diarrhea, while controlling the diet, it is necessary to supplement the baby's intestines with beneficial bacteria, such as Bacillus subtilis, bivalent live bacteria, etc., which are generally available in pharmacies. Whenever my child has diarrhea, I give her this to drink. It works quite well. Remember to drink it with warm water (around 40°). Therefore, if your child often has diarrhea, you might as well prepare some more at home. Although the side effects are small, you should not eat more once the baby's stomach is better.

The second is caused by a cold stomach.

Many babies have delicate bellies, so it is common for them to have diarrhea when they catch a cold. This requires parents to take good care of their children. When it is hot in summer, do not let the baby sleep naked at night, otherwise the baby's stomach will easily get cold after a long time. It is best not to cover the baby with a towel, as it will easily fall off when the baby turns over. It is better to put on a small jacket with a pocket. Try to choose cotton vests, which are sweat-absorbent and breathable, and comfortable for your baby to wear.

Third note.

When your baby often has diarrhea, in order to replenish the electrolytes lost in his body, it is better to give him some light salt water. If the baby still has diarrhea after the above methods, and has symptoms such as burning, dehydration, etc., it is necessary to consider whether it is acute enteritis and send the baby to the hospital for diagnosis and treatment in time.
