What medicine is used for Staphylococcus aureus

Microorganisms exist everywhere in the biological world, including bacteria and fungi. Staphylococcus aureus is a type of bacteria. The structure of microorganisms is generally very small and cannot be seen with the naked eye. Microorganisms can only be seen under a microscope. So sometimes something is infected with microorganisms and people don't know it. Let’s find out what medicine should be used for Staphylococcus aureus.

Penicillin is not generally used due to the presence of MRSA (methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus). Therefore, patients with Staphylococcus aureus infection can choose: erythromycin, new penicillin, gentamicin, vancomycin or vancomycin VI for treatment.

Preventing infection

First, prevent Staphylococcus aureus from contaminating food

Prevent the contamination of various foods by carriers: Conduct regular health checks on production and processing personnel, and those who suffer from local suppurative infections (such as scabies, finger suppuration, etc.) and upper respiratory tract infections (such as sinusitis, suppurative pneumonia, oral diseases, etc.) should temporarily stop their work or change their positions. In meat processing plants, carcasses of poultry and livestock suffering from local suppurative infections should have the diseased parts removed and be processed by high temperature or other appropriate methods before production.

Second, prevent the production of Staphylococcus aureus enterotoxin

Food should be stored at low temperatures and in well-ventilated conditions to prevent the formation of enterotoxins. In spring and summer when the temperature is high, food should not be kept in a refrigerator or in a cool, ventilated place for more than 6 hours and must be thoroughly heated before eating.

Third, kill Staphylococcus aureus

Staphylococcus aureus is more resistant to heat and dryness than general non-spore-forming bacteria and can be killed only by heating at 80°C for 30 minutes. A layer of ultrafine tio2 with a concentration of 0.1 mg/cm3 covering the surface of an object can kill bacteria quickly and effectively under light conditions. It can survive in dry pus and sputum for 2 to 3 months. Death within 10 to 15 minutes in 5% carbolic acid. It is sensitive to alkaline dyes, and one hundred thousandth of gentian violet solution can inhibit its growth.
