Acid reflux at night

Acid reflux at night

Nowadays, the pressure of life and work is relatively high, and the pace is particularly fast, so many people have irregular work and rest schedules and bad eating habits. This will cause many people to experience acid reflux when they sleep at night for a long time. When this happens, you must change your eating habits in time, develop the habit of drinking more water, and develop regular eating habits.

1. What to do if you have acid reflux while sleeping: Eat on time

Eat on time and in regular amounts to maintain the function of the "valve". Eat regularly, have proper nutrition, don't be too full or too hungry, and eat at regular times and in regular amounts. Eat less or no midnight snacks, and don't work or do strenuous exercise immediately after a meal. Don't eat two hours before going to bed, and keep your head elevated when sleeping to prevent acid reflux.

2. What to do if you have acid reflux while sleeping: fasting before going to bed

Be careful not to eat two hours before going to bed.

1. Do not drink beverages containing caffeine, such as coffee and tea.

2. Try to avoid greasy or sweet foods, such as chocolate and cake, because these foods will reduce the pressure of the lower esophageal sphincter and increase the reflux of gastric acid; ③ Also try to avoid drinking sour fruit juices, such as lemon juice and tomato juice, because these sour drinks will stimulate the inflamed esophagus and aggravate the burning sensation and pain in the chest.

3. What to do if you have acid reflux while sleeping: Diet therapy

1. Eat more apples:

As the old saying goes, you should eat at least one apple a day. Apples are great for your body and can help relieve acid reflux. The pectin in apple peels is a natural antacid.

2. Take Apple Cider Vinegar:

Although it may seem counterintuitive, apple cider vinegar can help relieve acid reflux. Add 1 tablespoon of organic apple cider vinegar to every 6 ounces (180 ml) of water. Mix well and drink. You don't have to use organic, but it does have to be apple cider vinegar.

3. Drink aloe vera juice:

Aloe vera is not only good for the outside of the body, it also has many therapeutic effects. Buy organic aloe vera juice. Drink 120 ml (half a cup) of aloe vera juice. You can take it multiple times throughout the day. Aloe vera has a laxative effect, so you should only drink 240 to 480 ml (1 to 2 cups) a day to avoid diarrhea.

4. Drink citrus water:

Drinking citrus drinks can help relieve acid reflux. Squeeze out a few teaspoons of lemon or lime juice and add water to taste. If you like your drink sweeter, you can add a little honey or stevia (a natural sweetener). Drink before, after and during meals.
