(ii) External application drugs: The main contradictions of this syndrome are dry skin, desquamation, hypertrophy and itching, so the external application drugs are mainly ointments, with lotions used as appropriate, and water lotions used as little as possible to avoid further aggravation of dryness and desquamation. 1. Licorice oil: 30g licorice, 150ml sesame oil, fry over low heat until the licorice is scorched; filter and keep the oil for later use. Apply externally to the affected area 1 to 2 times a day. It has detoxifying and moisturizing effects and is suitable for the whole process of this syndrome. 2. Jiuhua ointment: 600g talc, 90g moonstone, 120g dragon bone, 18g Fritillaria cirrhosa, 18g borneol, cinnabar 18 grams, grind into very fine powder, mix with vaseline at 20% concentration to make ointment, set aside. Apply externally 1 to 2 times daily to moisturize, relieve itching, and heal cracks. It is suitable for the hypertrophy, dryness, and desquamation stages of this syndrome. 3. Black ointment: 30 grams of calcined gypsum, 30 grams of alum, 30 grams of light powder, 30 grams of calcined dragon bone, 60 grams of gallnut, 60 grams of calcite, 6 grams of clam powder, 6 grams of borneol, and 4.5 grams of menthol. Grind them into very fine powder and mix with Vaseline at 25% concentration to make an ointment. Apply externally once a day, thinly apply to the affected area. Compound Coptis chinensis ointment: 50 grams of Sichuan coptis chinensis, 25 grams of Sichuan pepper, add 300-500 ml of 70% alcohol, soak for 3-5 days and set aside.
