Tips to control oily hair

Oily hair is caused by excessive oil secretion on the scalp. To effectively control this situation, you must first control your diet. You must eat a light diet, properly supplement vitamins and water, and eat less spicy, high-calorie, and high-fat foods. In addition, you must maintain adequate sleep and not stay up late for long periods of time, play with mobile phones or computers, etc. Rice water can protect the scalp and effectively control oil secretion.

1. Diet control

Modern people like high-calorie, high-fat foods, and eat greasy and spicy foods, which will stimulate the secretion of sebaceous glands. Staying up late, playing computer games for long periods of time, living a fast-paced life, and high-intensity work pressure will affect the body's endocrine system and aggravate oily scalp. Paying attention to healthy diet, eating more light food, and supplementing the intake of vitamins and water will help reduce the secretion of oil by sebaceous glands.

2. Talcum powder for emergency

If you are in a hurry and don’t have time to wash your hair, and greasy hair will greatly reduce your image, don’t worry, there is a way. Prepare a box of talcum powder at home or in the office. When you go out, lightly apply a layer of talcum powder on the roots of your hair and pat it with a powder puff until it is absorbed. Talcum powder is very useful for removing oil from hair. It can solve the problem of oily hair in time and keep the hair non-oily for about four hours.

3. Rice water for hair care

Most women who love beauty know that rice water can balance the water and oil content of the skin and make it whiter and tenderer. Similarly, rice water can also solve the problem of oily hair. Wash your scalp repeatedly with rice water and massage it properly. This will allow the scalp to absorb moisture and nutrients just like repairing facial skin. Once the water and oil levels in the oily scalp are balanced, the hair will naturally become less oily.

4. Control the temperature of shampoo

Using too hot water when shampooing can irritate the scalp, causing the sebaceous glands to proliferate and hypertrophy, making the hair oily. In the summer, many people wash their hair with cold water to keep cool, which is also not advisable. Too low a temperature will irritate the skin on the head, and washing hair with cold water is not conducive to the dissolution of scalp oil, leaving the oil on the scalp and causing the oil secretion to worsen. Therefore, it is most appropriate to control the water temperature at 37 degrees, which is close to body temperature, when washing your hair.

5. Comb the roots of your hair

People with oily hair can carry a fine-tooth comb with them. Once they feel that their hair is losing its volume, they can hold a lock of hair and comb it up and down quickly at the roots a few times. This will generate static electricity between the hair roots, creating more space at the roots. The hair will appear more voluminous visually.
