Some eye organs of a 60-year-old person may have already degenerated. In this case, the tear duct may also degenerate or even become narrow. In this case, the tears secreted by the tear glands sometimes cannot be discharged into the nasal cavity normally. At this time, tears will overflow and cause the patient to cry. Of course, tears in the elderly's eyes may also be caused by external smoke and cold air stimulation, so the elderly should pay attention to protecting their eyes and wear eye masks when going out.

3. In general, the cause of tears in the elderly may be trachoma or chronic conjunctivitis, or it may be lacrimal duct inflammation or dacryocystitis, or it may be because of the abnormal position of the lacrimal puncta. These conditions can cause the tear duct to become narrow, which can lead to complete blockage of the tear duct, which will block the tear drainage channel and cause tearing. In fact, this phenomenon should be called epiphora.
