What causes gastritis?

What causes gastritis?

Nowadays, due to the increasingly fierce competition in the workplace, many white-collar workers do not pay attention to their usual eating habits, which causes stomach pain and bloating. The symptoms are especially aggravated after meals, while they are more comfortable on an empty stomach. Although the amount of food eaten each time is not much, one still feels too full and uncomfortable, and often experiences nausea, vomiting, loss of appetite, indigestion, etc. Due to the small amount of food eaten on a daily basis and indigestion, malnutrition, weight loss, anemia and physical weakness may occur. This is what we often call gastritis, so what are the common factors that cause gastritis?

Although many people know what gastritis is, if you really ask them what causes gastritis, I'm afraid no one can explain it well. So let's learn about the causes of gastritis through the following introduction, I hope it will be helpful to everyone:

1. Long-term use of drugs or foods that irritate the stomach, eating rough foods or smoking, etc. These factors repeatedly act on the gastric mucosa, causing it to become congested and edematous.

2. Long-term congestion and hypoxia of gastric mucosa. For example, in patients with congestive heart failure or portal hypertension, the gastric mucosa is in a state of congestion and hypoxia for a long time, causing nutritional disorders and leading to gastritis.

3. If acute gastritis is not treated properly, it may turn into chronic gastritis if it is not cured.

4. Lack of gastric acid makes it easy for bacteria to multiply in the stomach, which can also cause chronic gastritis.

5. Nutritional deficiency, endocrine dysfunction and immune dysfunction can cause chronic gastritis.

6. Gastrointestinal Campylobacter infection and other factors may be the cause of chronic gastritis.

7. The effects of bacteria and their toxins. Because bacteria or toxins from infected lesions in the nose, mouth, throat and other parts of the body are constantly swallowed into the stomach, or because of the lack of gastric acid in the stomach, bacteria can easily multiply in the stomach, and long-term effects can cause chronic gastritis.

8. Mental factors. Excessive mental stimulation, depression and other mental factors repeatedly act on the cerebral cortex, causing cerebral cortex dysfunction, leading to spasmodic contraction of the blood vessels in the gastric wall, and inflammation or ulcers of the gastric mucosa.

The above is an introduction to the causes of gastritis. I hope it will be helpful to you. In addition, patients with gastritis should pay attention to rest, drink less frozen drinks, beer, etc.; eat less greasy food such as hot pot and pig's trotters, and chew slowly when eating to allow the food to be fully mixed with saliva, which is conducive to digestion and reduces stomach irritation. Otherwise, it will cause severe indigestion and aggravate the symptoms.
