The so-called gonorrhea, in fact, in daily life, refers to some purulent infections caused by the urinary and reproductive systems. This condition is actually one of the very common sexually transmitted diseases in life. What are the early symptoms of gonorrhea? Let’s take a look at the relevant knowledge together, hoping it will be helpful in the treatment of gonorrhea. The early symptoms of gonorrhea are very obvious. After the occurrence of such a disease, some of the clinical manifestations of the body are the most common diseases such as urethritis, cervicitis, etc. The typical symptoms of the disease are difficulty urinating, pain, frequent urination, urgency, discharge of mucus or purulent secretions, etc. when the disease occurs. We need to understand these situations. It can also invade the eyes, pharynx, rectum, pelvis, etc., and spread through the bloodstream to cause arthritis, perihepatitis, sepsis, endocarditis or meningitis. The incubation period is 1 to 14 days, usually 2 to 5 days. It manifests as symptoms of acute urethritis, with redness, swelling, itching and slight stinging at the urethral opening, followed by the discharge of thin mucus, causing discomfort during urination. About 2 days later, the secretions become viscous and pus overflows from the urethra. The pus is dark yellow or yellow-green in color. The redness and swelling spread to the entire glans penis and part of the urethra. Frequent urination, urgency, pain, difficulty urinating, difficulty in movement, and painful erections of the penis at night occur. The inguinal lymph nodes may be swollen, red, swollen and painful, and may also become suppurative. 50% to 70% of patients have gonococcal invasion of the posterior urethra, manifested as urinary distress, frequent urination, and acute urinary retention. The systemic symptoms are generally mild. A few patients may have a fever of around 38°C, general discomfort, lack of appetite, etc. Chronic gonorrhea: Symptoms last for more than 2 months. Because the treatment is not thorough, gonococci can hide in the urethral body, paraurethral glands, and urethral crypts, turning the disease into a chronic disease. If the patient is weak and suffers from anemia or tuberculosis, the disease will be chronic from the beginning, mostly with combined infection of the anterior and posterior urethra, and tends to invade the bulbar, membranous and prostatic parts of the urethra. Symptoms include frequent itching in the urethra, burning sensation or mild stinging during urination, thin urine stream, weak urination, and dribbling of urine. Most patients have a small amount of serous crust sealing the urethra in the early morning. If the genitals or the base of the penis are squeezed, thin mucus often overflows. The urine is basically clear, with visible striae. We must know more about the early symptoms of gonorrhea, because there are many types of gonorrhea. Gonococcal vaginitis is very rare in life and the symptoms are relatively mild. Many patients will experience severe abdominal distension, back pain, and excessive vaginal discharge when the virus is transmitted. Some patients have lower abdominal pain or excessive menstruation, so differentiated treatment is required. |
