Clinical manifestations of tumor bone metastasis:

3. Cancer pain caused by bone metastasis is usually very severe and may be intermittent or continuous and gradually worsen.

4. This type of pain is particularly severe at night, causing patients to feel fear and anxiety before going to bed.

5. The degree of local pain of bone metastasis ranges from dull pain to deep, unbearable pain.

6. Often aggravated during activity and weight bearing.

7. In case of pathological rib fracture, the pain is most severe when changing from a sitting position to a supine position or the opposite movement or when lying on the side of the trunk.

Treatment of bone metastases:

1. Radiotherapy. The most commonly used method is external beam radiotherapy for the site of bone metastasis, especially spinal metastasis, which is the first choice. Radiotherapy can effectively relieve pain, with an efficiency rate of over 80%.

2. Isotope internal irradiation therapy. It has a certain therapeutic effect on metastatic tumors with a large number of dispersed bone metastases.

3. Surgical treatment. If the damage to the spine is extensive, autologous bone or a steel plate can be used to replace the damaged bone to provide support, followed by radiotherapy after surgery.

4. Drug treatment: Using bisphosphonate drugs at the same time as the above treatment can also relieve bone pain and inhibit bone destruction.
