When people feel unwell, they often use the word "getting angry" to describe it. Toothache is said to be caused by "getting angry". Red and swollen eyes and erosion at the corners of the mouth are said to be caused by "getting angry". Red and yellow urine and constipation are said to be caused by "getting angry". What exactly is getting angry? Causes of getting angry There are many specific factors that cause getting angry. Mood swings, heatstroke, cold, smoking and drinking, excessive consumption of onions, ginger, garlic, and peppers, greed for greasy foods such as mutton and dog meat, poisoning, lack of sleep, etc. can all cause "getting angry". Types of inflammation In traditional Chinese medicine, the heat symptoms in the upper part of the body, such as dizziness, sore throat, dry mouth, tongue sores, chapped lips, red eyes, and tinnitus, are called "upper-burner fire". The heat symptoms in the middle part of the body, such as irritability, thirst, and stomach pain, are called "middle-burner fire". The heat symptoms in the lower part of the body, such as constipation, red urine, and vaginal itching, are called "lower-burner fire". According to the organs, red, swollen and painful eyes are called "liver fire", nasal flaring and shortness of breath are called "lung fire", mouth and tongue ulcers are called "heart fire", and so on. Combined with the internal conditions, these fires can be divided into two categories: "virtual fire" and "real fire". Severe symptoms and fierce onset are "real fire"; mild symptoms, long duration and accompanied by hot hands and feet, hot flashes, night sweats, etc. are "virtual fire". Prevention of getting angry First of all, we must maintain a scientific life pattern, have regular daily routine, eat in moderation, and avoid overeating. Secondly, eat more "heat-clearing" foods, such as fresh green leafy vegetables, cucumbers, oranges, and drink green tea regularly. 3. Drink more water and eat less spicy and greasy food. 4. Get rid of bad habits, quit smoking and drink less. 5. Maintain a calm attitude at ordinary times to avoid getting emotionally stimulated and getting angry. Treatment of Heatstroke There are two points to note when treating "getting angry": First, choose Chinese medicine instead of blindly using Western medicine. Because the former regulates the whole body to treat the root cause, while the latter can only treat the symptoms. The second is to treat the disease based on syndrome differentiation according to the theory of traditional Chinese medicine. For example, for "middle-burner fire", Qingwei San (5 grams of Coptis chinensis, 12 grams of Rehmannia glutinosa, 6 grams of Moutan bark, 6 grams of Cimicifuga heracleifolia, and 6 grams of Angelica sinensis) should be used; for "heart fire", Daochi San (6 grams each of Rehmannia glutinosa, Akebia trifoliata, and Raw Hay) should be used; to treat "real fire", Sanhuang Pian, Niuhuang Jiedu Pian and other fire-removing medicines should be used. It is best to do this under the guidance of a doctor. When pregnant women or the elderly and weak people have internal heat, they must not abuse fire-reducing drugs, but should go to the hospital to see a doctor for treatment. |
