The manifestations of abnormal renal function are these symptoms

Abnormal renal function is not only manifested in the well-known symptoms of low back pain, but also in edema, abnormal urine, sudden loss of appetite, anemia, hematuria, abnormal urine volume, etc., which are also extremely common. Abnormal kidney function has a very serious impact on the body, so timely treatment is required.

1. Edema. For example, when you get up in the morning, your eyelids feel too heavy to lift, your face, fingers or feet feel swollen, your legs feel sunken after you press hard, and you can't put on your shoes in the afternoon.

2. Abnormal urine . Such as changes in color, increased foam in the urine, and frequent urination at night; increased foam in the urine is a kidney symptom due to the presence of a large amount of protein in the urine; the urine is dark tea color, meat washing water color, soy sauce color, or turbid like rice washing water. There is a lot of foam in the urine which does not disappear for a long time. It indicates that a lot of protein is excreted in the urine. In this case, a routine urine test and a 24-hour urine protein quantitative test should be performed.

3. Sudden loss of appetite . Paroxysmal severe low back pain, or accompanied by vomiting, is called "renal colic", which is more common in renal pelvic stones or ureteral stones. Low back pain is often accompanied by fever and percussion pain in the kidney area. Urinalysis may reveal leukocytosis and bacterial growth in urine culture. In most cases of glomerular disease, there is only discomfort, dull pain, or soreness in the waist.

4. Anemia . Joint pain and muscle cramps; elevated blood uric acid and gout, sometimes manifested as unexplained joint pain.

5. Hematuria . Hematuria is caused by blood mixing into urine through damaged glomeruli, renal tubules or kidneys. If the amount of bleeding is large and visible to the naked eye, it is called gross hematuria.

6. Abnormal urine volume . Frequent urination, urgency, pain when urinating, anuria, oliguria, polyuria and nocturia are all manifestations of poor kidney function. The average urine volume of a normal person is 1500 ml per day, 4-8 times a day. An adult's 24-hour urine volume of less than 400 ml is called oliguria, less than 100 ml is called anuria, and nocturia should not be more than 750 ml. If young people have increased nocturia, it may be an early sign of poor kidney function.
