How is gastric erosion formed? Long-term gastritis needs attention

Many people have stomach problems, especially gastritis, which is related to bad daily eating habits. If gastritis is not treated in time, it is likely to turn into gastric erosion. Patients with gastric erosion should increase the fiber content in their diet and avoid drinking strong tea, alcohol, and coffee.

1. Causes

Some are caused by long-term and repeated gastritis without treatment, which leads to gastric erosion; some are caused by psychological problems and too much stress, which leads to stomach discomfort. The increased secretion of adrenal glucocorticoids leads to hypersecretion of gastric acid and enhanced mucosal invasion factors; weakened gastrointestinal motility and pyloric dysfunction can lead to reflux of bile and pancreatic juice and cause damage to the gastric mucosal barrier. Develop into gastric erosion.

Diagnosis: Generally, gastric erosion has symptoms, such as stomach pain one hour after a meal, sometimes stomach pain in the middle of the night, and similar symptoms one hour before a meal. Pathological histology shows defects in the surface epithelial cells, the depth of which does not exceed the muscularis mucosa. The adjacent lamina propria has congestion, edema, hemorrhage and inflammatory cell infiltration. Similar to superficial gastritis, gastric erosion generally does not invade the muscularis mucosa, so no scars are left after healing. From a pathological point of view, erosion itself is an acute inflammatory reaction.

3. Diet

1. Increase fiber intake and eat fiber-containing foods. Fiber is considered an anti-cancer ingredient, and eating a high-fiber diet can also reduce the chance of duodenal ulcers. Fiber is thought to promote the secretion of mucin, which protects the duodenal mucosa.

2. Avoid strong tea, coffee, alcohol, etc.; eat less food that easily causes flatulence, such as potatoes, sweet potatoes, onions, boiled soybeans, etc.

3. Raw or cold food and drinks can easily cause stomach cramps, which is not conducive to the relief of the condition; overheated or overheated food and drinks can directly burn or irritate the gastric mucosa after consumption.
