How to treat high uric acid levels? Did you know

High uric acid levels are a problem that many people are concerned about. Mild high uric acid levels can be adjusted, so there is no need to worry too much. Strictly speaking, high uric acid levels are mainly related to diet. This shows that dietary adjustments are very important and we should stay away from high-purine foods.

1. Eat less high-purine foods

Foods such as animal offal, seafood, mushrooms, hot pot, beans, and broth are rich in purine. Eating too much can cause increased uric acid. Among them, the purine intake from a hotpot meal is 10 times or even dozens of times higher than that from a regular meal; seafood high in purine includes anchovies, sardines, hairtail, herring, mackerel, oysters, clams, scallops, etc.

2. Drink more water and less soup

People with high blood uric acid levels and gout patients should drink more boiled water and less broth, fish soup, chicken soup, hot pot soup, etc., because the broth contains high levels of fat and purine and is acidic, which is not conducive to the excretion of uric acid. In daily diet, we must ensure that we drink more than 2000 ml of water every day, preferably boiled water. The osmotic pressure of boiled water is most conducive to dissolving various harmful substances in the body. Drinking more boiled water can dilute uric acid, accelerate excretion, and lower uric acid levels.

3. Eat more fresh vegetables

Vegetables contain a large amount of potassium, calcium, magnesium and other elements. Eating 750 grams of vegetables every day can help increase the alkalinity of urine and promote the excretion of uric acid. In addition, soda foods can neutralize uric acid, so you can carry some soda crackers with you for appropriate supplementation.

4. Moderate to light aerobic exercise

Moderate exercise can reduce fat accumulation in the body, improve the body's metabolic function, facilitate the excretion of uric acid and control the course of the disease. However, strenuous exercise can lead to increased uric acid levels, so it is better to choose moderate-intensity aerobic exercises such as jogging, walking, brisk walking, yoga, and swimming.

5. Drink less beer

In fact, you should drink less alcoholic drinks for the same reason: it contains a lot of purine!
