How long can you live after a stroke?

Cerebral infarction and hemiplegia have always been frequent problems. Cerebral infarction can cause the risk of stroke, which can threaten the patient's limbs, cause hemiplegia, and make it impossible to move normally. It is necessary to actively cooperate with treatment in life. Do not think that a cerebral infarction will not occur a second time after it has occurred once. The patient's life span will generally not be affected.

Preventive care targets possible causes and takes active measures to prevent them. Strengthen the prevention and treatment of diseases such as atherosclerosis, hyperlipidemia, hypertension, and diabetes.

1. For patients with hypertension, blood pressure should be controlled at a reasonable level. Because high blood pressure can easily cause rupture and bleeding of microaneurysms and atherosclerotic arteries in the brain, while low blood pressure can easily cause incomplete blood supply to the brain and stagnation of microcirculation, which can easily lead to cerebral infarction. Therefore, various factors that cause a sudden drop in blood pressure, slow cerebral blood flow, increased blood viscosity, and increased blood coagulation should be prevented.

2. Actively treat transient ischemic attack.

3. Pay attention to mental and psychological hygiene. Many cases of cerebral infarction are related to emotional excitement.

4. Pay attention to changing bad living habits; moderate physical activity is good for your health. Avoid bad habits such as smoking, alcoholism, overeating and binge drinking. The diet should be low in fat, calories, and salt, and contain sufficient high-quality protein, vitamins, fiber, and trace elements. Overeating is not good for your health. Moldy food, salted fish, and cold food do not meet the requirements of food hygiene and should be avoided.

5. When the temperature changes suddenly and the air pressure and temperature change significantly, the middle-aged and elderly people, especially the weak and sick, are mostly unable to adapt and become ill. Especially in severe cold and midsummer, the elderly have poor adaptability and reduced immunity, and the incidence and mortality rates are higher than usual, so you must be especially careful.

6. Pay attention to the precursors of cerebrovascular disease in time, such as sudden numbness on one side of the face or upper or lower limbs, weakness, crooked mouth, drooling; sudden dizziness, shaking; short-term confusion or drowsiness, etc.

Dietary health care: various grains, such as mung beans, millet, corn, and beans. Various fresh foods as well as garlic, fruits, hawthorn, fish, mushrooms, mussels, skim milk, lean pork, vegetable oil, etc.

①Shiitake mushrooms: neutral in nature and flavor. It has the effects of replenishing qi and stomach, promoting blood circulation and removing blood stasis. It can lower blood cholesterol, lower blood pressure, accelerate blood circulation, and improve blood supply to the heart, brain and microcirculation. Nutrients are not destroyed after heating. It has a good therapeutic effect on hypertension and arteriosclerosis.

② Celery: It has the effects of clearing away heat and dampness, refreshing the mind and strengthening the brain, calming the liver and cooling the blood. It can lower the cholesterol content in the blood and has certain therapeutic effects on preventing and treating hypertension, cerebrovascular accidents, coronary heart disease, etc.

③Hawthorn: It has the effects of promoting blood circulation and removing blood stasis, softening blood vessels, lowering blood pressure and lowering blood lipids. It can be used to make tea, cook porridge, and decoct juice. It is an excellent food for patients with cardiovascular and cerebrovascular diseases.
