However, low-to-moderate doses of systemic glucocorticoids, short-term (less than 14 days); local use; or low-to-moderate doses of short-acting glucocorticoids, long-term replacement therapy and intra-articular, intracapsular, and Achilles tendon glucocorticoid injections should not be considered contraindications to vaccination. Steroid doses used in replacement therapy, such as for Addison's disease, are not immunosuppressive.
