Can I drink milk tea when my aunt comes?

For women, they must strengthen their diet during menstruation, get enough rest, keep warm, and drink some milk tea appropriately. It has a certain effect of keeping warm, but of course you can't drink too much. After all, there are some food additives and some trans fatty acids in milk tea, which can easily lead to obesity problems. You should pay attention to some precautions during menstruation, don't drink carbonated drinks, and don't drink cold drinks.

Can I drink milk tea when my aunt comes?

It's drinkable. Women can drink milk tea during menstruation, but warm milk tea is best. Although today's milk tea is rarely made from pure natural ingredients, drinking less will not cause much harm as long as it is not recommended to drink it frequently. Compared with other beverages, today's milk tea is made entirely of industrial food additives. Apart from its very good taste, it has no other benefits. Women during menstruation can just drink less and there is no need to worry too much.

What beverages should not be consumed during menstruation?

1. Carbonated drinks

Many women who like carbonated drinks will experience fatigue and lack of energy during their menstrual period, which is a sign of iron deficiency. Because soda and other beverages mostly contain phosphates, they react chemically with iron in the body, making it difficult to absorb iron. In addition, drinking too much soda will neutralize the sodium bicarbonate in the soda with gastric juice, reducing the digestive ability and bactericidal effect of gastric acid and affecting appetite.

2. Cold drinks

People with cold menstruation should avoid drinking it. If girls with cold constitution drink cold drinks during menstruation, it may cause blood clots, cause uterine coldness, aggravate dysmenorrhea, and in severe cases, cause diarrhea.

3. Milk

Cheese can cause dysmenorrhea: Foods such as milk, cheese, cream, and yeast milk can destroy the absorption of magnesium. If the body lacks magnesium, it is easy to cause emotional instability, irritability, tetany, and hyperreflexia. Results of a US study suggest that most migraine sufferers have lower-than-normal brain magnesium levels. Medical scientists investigated patients with dysmenorrhea and found that 45% of patients had magnesium levels below the average, and that daily intake of 200 mg of magnesium can relieve dysmenorrhea.

4. Soda

Many women like to drink sweet soda, and they can't help but drink a bottle even during their menstrual period. However, drinking soda during menstruation can easily cause lack of energy and fatigue, which is due to iron deficiency. Soda contains a large amount of phosphate, which will react chemically with the iron in the body and make the iron difficult to absorb. Therefore, the sodium bicarbonate in the soda will neutralize the gastric juice, reducing the bactericidal function and digestive ability of gastric acid, which will also affect appetite.

5. Green tea

Menstrual blood contains relatively high levels of hemoglobin, plasma protein and hemoglobin, so women will lose a lot of iron after menstruation and should supplement iron. Tea contains more than 30% tannic acid, which easily combines with iron ions in the intestine to produce precipitation, hindering the intestinal mucosa's absorption of iron ions; it can cause breast pain, anxiety, irritability and emotional instability, while also consuming vitamin B stored in the body and destroying carbohydrate metabolism.
